I keep going back to this really cool interpretation of the famous cartoon that represents different types of animals expected to perfom a task that is not possible for some of them to perform due to their uniqueness:

There is a constant noise about differentiatiohn in class. But what exactely do we differentiate? Is it faire to ask the same to all students? Do we change the outcome or the process of accomplishing the task?

The outcome versus process poles aren’t so distant either.

Here we provide the same task (we have high expectations for everyone) but we differentiate the way to get there. It’s a mix of standardizing and differentiating. Inspiring 🙂
